CSFM replaces strut‑and‑tie modelling

Discontinuity regions — walls with openings, corbels, deep beams, pier caps, dapped ends — fall outside classical beam theory. IDEA StatiCa Detail replaces hand-built strut-and-tie with the Compatible Stress Field Method (CSFM): a true stress field, code-compliant ULS and SLS, any geometry.

RCS Section Checks

The RCS application checks reinforced and prestressed cross-sections at ULS and SLS — 1D sections of beams and columns, plus 2D sections of walls and slabs using Baumann's method. Import internal forces directly from Excel for fast batch checks.
