Full S-FRAME Import and Export Integration

Import the superstructure model from S-FRAME and use the model as a guide to easily model your footings and foundations. Base reaction loads from the superstructure analysis are automatically applied to the foundation model. After completing the foundation model, analysis, and design, transfer the model back into S-FRAME for further analysis. The imported foundations will provide more accurate and realistic support conditions for the superstructure.

Import from 3rd Party Structural Analysis and CAD Programs

Run S-FOUNDATION as a stand-alone analysis and design foundation application or integrated within S-FRAME Analysis. With S-FRAME Analysis, two-way data transfer automatically applies foundation loading conditions and post-processing from S-FRAME Analysis, then combines the optimized foundation model with the S-FRAME Superstructure model for a more detailed soil-structure interaction analysis.

Review Warnings Related to Code Checks

S-CONCRETE comprehensive code checking goes well beyond the strength of the concrete section.

In the example shown, the section capacity for applied Axial, Flexure, and Shear forces are well within limits, however, the detailed checks for tie size and tie spacing, and clear spacing between bars (at the bar splice location), do not meet the code requirements. S-CONCRETE gives a color-coded Warning to the user .

Warning messages are readily identified with citations of the specific Code Clauses as shown at the right.

S-CONCRETE generates and displays axial force versus biaxial moment interaction envelopes, N-M (P-M) diagrams. These envelopes are used to provide information for the relevant checks performed by the program. The diagrams are automatically generated for all applied moment angles, Theta, that are part of the specified load cases, as well as the four right angles of the section, i.e. 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees.

Once the design is complete, the ability to export the cross section with reinforcing steel to an AutoCAD DXF file showing the actual reinforcement layout, including primary and secondary bars, ties and stirrups, allows for quick and easy incorporation into engineering drawings.

Concrete Design with ICD

ICD (integrated concrete design) uses the structural analysis results to code check and design Continuous Concrete Beams and Concrete Wall/Beam/Column sections. Collaboration and Validation

S-VIEW, a freely available collaboration tool included with S-FRAME Software, is designed to allow non-S-FRAME Analysis license holders to work in collaboration with individuals who model analyze structures using S-FRAME Analysis. S-FRAME license holders can generate S-VIEW readable files for their structural model. Using S-VIEW, users can visualize all model geometry, material properties, applied loading and analysis results, without having to install an S-FRAME Analysis license.
