S-FOUNDATION Import and Export

Full S-FRAME Import and Export Integration

Import the superstructure model from S-FRAME and use the model as a guide to easily model your footings and foundations. Base reaction loads from the superstructure analysis are automatically applied to the foundation model. After completing the foundation model, analysis, and design, transfer the model back into S-FRAME for further analysis. The imported foundations will provide more accurate and realistic support conditions for the superstructure.

Import from 3rd Party Structural Analysis and CAD Programs

Run S-FOUNDATION as a stand-alone analysis and design foundation application or integrated within S-FRAME Analysis. With S-FRAME Analysis, two-way data transfer automatically applies foundation loading conditions and post-processing from S-FRAME Analysis, then combines the optimized foundation model with the S-FRAME Superstructure model for a more detailed soil-structure interaction analysis.

Alternatively, import geometry and loading data using CSV files to use as the starting point for your model.  Import support data (locations, reactions, preliminary foundation design) from 3rd party analysis software, create the model, and optimize the foundations.



Soil Supports

Nonlinear zero tension soil springs automatically generated on foundation joints considering the assigned soil properties. View and verify spring stiffness, pile head fixities, and tip support conditions to match desired analysis parameters.

Soil Pressure and Uplift Analysis

Visualize soil pressure contours to identify areas of uplift and run an uplift code check.

Rigid Zones

Rigid zones automatically created under pedestal footprints and walls using rigid links, to avoid load concentration and ensure loading pressure is transferred to the pad realistically.

Strip Lines

S-FOUNDATION automatically generates strip integration lines, with exclusion areas, based on code requirements and pedestal locations.
